As per norms Community Health Centre(CHC) is to cover a population of 80000 in Hilly/ Tribal / Difficult areas and 1,20,000 in Plain areas.The map shows the different classes of states having less number of CHCs than required. Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are the states having maximum shortage of CHCs.
